The work created during the artistic residency of Casa das Caldeiras, in 2014, is a further investigation of the presential perception in relation to the spatiality of the environments. Motivation also explored in the previous series My Room, Public Domain, but executed, this time, in industrial scale, occasioning a corporeal presenceimmersed in large negative spaces, varying textures made of iron, brick and clay, as well as different lighting qualities.

The experience resulted in a series of photographic diptyches in which the artist takes self portraits in about 30 spaces in the old Matarazzo industry, São Paulo, SP. Each picture is taken in two different moments; at first, Tathy interacts corporally with the site, formally redefining the landscape design through her presence. Further on, out of the scene, she dyes the body in red and returns to the same position, where she takes the second self-portrait.

Fac-Símile, word, which gives name to the series, comes from the Latin and means to do the same. Not for the color difference, the photos would be identical. The artist uses herself as a performative and visual element in order to exercise the precision of the movement and memory, through the photograph. The spatial awareness is necessary for a preciosity of centimeters, in accordance with the amount of air previously inhaled, the tone of the muscles, the position of the fingers, the distribution of the weight and the direction of the look.
